Type Locality and Naming
It was named by Gao Jianguo in 1987. The type section is situated at east of Zhaohuajing Village, Tongxing County, the Ningxia Hui Zizhiqu.
Synonym: (同心组), Tongxing Fm
Lithology and Thickness
It consists of purplish red thin- to medium-bedded calcareous-pelitic arkosic quartzose sandstone and pebbly sandstone; the base is composed of coarse-grained sandy conglomerate including limestone pebbles; the sandstone is with horizontal bedding. The formation is 81 m in thickness in the type section.

It is in pseudo-conformable contact relation with the underlying Zhaohuajing Fm
